We have always provided good, old fashioned country hospitality. The motel offers 38 rooms. We have 22 modern deluxe rooms in addition to the original 16 standard rooms. Included in these is one self catering 2 bedroom apartment. We have a designated wheel chair friendly room that caters for the disabled patrons. Rooms are complete with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven plus toasters. All are air conditioned. Breakfast can be ordered to have in your room or in our dining area. Packed lunches can also be ordered.
Here at Moura Motel we know that travellers often have the need of larger parking spaces, so, to cater for this we have extra large bays that are suitable for trailers, caravans and small trucks.
Moura is known as 'The Coal and Cattle Centre of the Dawson', Moura is not a typical company town for miners. The region is mainly a rural area but has quite a mixture of ventures, such as the Queensland Cotton Gin located in town and the second largest wheat dump in Queensland; the huge silos can be seen from quite a distance. Just east of Moura is the Queensland Amonium Nitrate Plant and of course, the Moura Open-cut coal mine is nearby. The largest drag line in the world operates at this mine and it is gigantic. This is located south of Moura on the Theodore Road.
